The housing crisis in Australia is largely due to the majority of property being owned by Baby Boomers. Koala, Australia’s beloved online furniture store, being on a mission to make the good life more gettable for all, decided it’s time to step in.

To lift the spirits of young Aussies struggling to get into the market, Koala launched an initiative that would see one lucky whipper snapper win an entire year of rent or mortgage repayments*. And to keep Baby Boomer mitts off the life-changing prize, Thinkerbell designed a unique digital captcha to sift out those who’ve already reaped the rewards of a booming economy (anyone born before 1964). To date, Koala’s Boomer Blocker has garnered over 35 million earned impressions, six times the expected result.
