With conversations around Equal Pay on the rise in India, Publicis Communications India & Publicis Media India decided to bring on-board KPMG to do an independent third-party study on where their agencies stood on this ground. When the report was submitted, after a thorough analysis which took 3 months, the Groupe was ecstatic to know that they've been moving in the right direction, because employee across all levels were found to be paid equally.
Agency: Leo Burnett, India To celebrate this achievement, senior leadership across agencies decided to dress in drag, to make the message clear, visually. The idea stemmed from the thought that “Whether you’re Saurabh or Shery, you’re equal for us” or “Whether you’re Raj or Rajeshwari, you’re equal for us”. The agency also rolled out a social media campaign, with senior leadership changing their profile pictures, and an album which went viral on Facebook.
