Director Ryan Booth of Pulse Films has created new sentimental spot for McDonald's, driving home the fact that McDonald's are 'leaving its light on' for essential key-workers during the times of the pandemic. Created in lockdown, the spot for McDonald's required Ryan to remotely direct sixteen DP's - himself included - from across the United States in order to capture the brand's iconic arches and tell the story of their support for key workers during lockdown. Meticulously planned routes ensured airtight social distancing for each of the DPs involved, and together with the production team, it was ensured that everyone involved worked in complete isolation with no contact with anyone else. This meant finding a McDonald's restaurant closest to each DP's home-base via google maps, ensuring they could either walk or drive themselves to the location alone, and adhering to a strict 1-hour shooting schedule which started at the break of dawn. Ryan collaborated with the post teams remotely, and the results are stunning.
