The UAE has an alarmingly high incidence of stage 3 & 4 (advanced) breast cancer cases amongst women under 30 years of age. The obvious reason – women in the UAE do not take regular breast examinations. While this is partly due to a lack of breast cancer awareness, it is also because of the fear associated with cancer.
