Coca-Cola's first new piece of creative since the COVID-19 breakout centers around Coke and food. Coke x Anomaly have launched a new global platform for Coke and Food called "Together Tastes Better" - a fully integrated program comprising a new film, initiatives to support local restaurants, and a partnership with Disney, Lin Manuel and Jose Andres to bring families together to celebrate the Hamilton premiere. This is part of the first work created by Anomaly since their appointment on Coke. This film, titled “The Great Meal” conveys the brand’s optimistic take on this shared experience, celebrating some of the silver linings of the time we have spent together over meals and around the table. Around the world, people have come to re-appreciate the things that matter most to us and we’ll take that gratitude and humility with us moving forward. Filmed remotely during the COVID-19 quarantine, the film showcases 13 real families, couples, housemates in households from eight different cities around the world including Orlando, Shanghai, Lisbon, Kiev, London, Mumbai, and Mexico City. The people in the film cook their own food and follow their own recipes.
Up-and-coming actress Soleil Patterson brings to life the voiceover, reminding us how the lockdown has allowed us to realize what matters in life, to rediscover ourselves and to re- appreciate what was always there, like spending time with our people, cooking and eating together. The music track is “Sabali” by Mali duo Amadou & Mariam, from the Grammy-nominated album “Welcome to Mali.”
