Congrats, dictators!

This campaign congratulates dictator’s on winning elections that haven’t even taken place.

Civil Rights Defenders, an international NGO advocating civil and political rights, raise awareness of rigged elections by turning the dictators of today into future versions of themselves. The campaign succeeded in exposing corruption, rigged elections and propaganda. A reality even worse than the accusations in the campaign, called ”Congrats, Dictators!".

In an integrated campaign, created together with creative agency Åkestam Holst NoA, the human right’s advocacy group put digitally aged versions of Vladimir Putin (Russia), Viktor Orbán (Hungary) and Bashar al-Assad (Syria) on display all over Sweden and congratulated them to winning elections in 2030, 2034 and 2042. The three of them have dismantled democracy and rigged the systems so much that they will be able to stay in power for almost as long as they please.
