In the past year, 21 women have been murdered in Israel and 200,000 cases of violence against women have been reported.In preparation for Women's Day, Hamashbir Lazarhan (Israeli department store, which offers fashion and home products) added tags to selected products, with a small but important reminder of how these products should really be used.We caught buyers where they didn’t expect it, and reminded them that the seemingly innocent household items, have also recently become a weapon that harms women.
Behind each tag, there were more details and the fact that Hamashbir will make a donation for an organization that fights violence against women. The campaign was also shared on social networks, and has received thousands of comments and shares during its first 24 hours, including a mention on prime time TV news.
