Ford Europe and BBDO Germany create a sparkling futuristic world for the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid and back it up with a very special song. The pan-European campaign “The Game" will be launched in 16 countries. Ford is celebrating its Kuga Plug-in Hybrid with a new campaign. It features the hybrid SUV in a convincing futuristic setting. In the TV commercial "The Game", the main character enters a café which reminds us of places where the gaming community meets in cities such as Tokyo. The guy slips on a virtual reality headset which catapults him straight into the game. There he begins by swiping and selecting the Kuga model of his choice. Then he finds himself directly behind the wheel of the SUV Plug-in Hybrid and cruises through a city where the boundaries between reality and virtuality merge seamlessly into one another. The strategic focus is on the outstanding product features of the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid. It can for example charge while the driver brakes. BBDO Germany is responsible for the campaign and presents the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid in a highly creative and visually powerful setting under Ford's strong brand umbrella "Bring on Tomorrow". Ford and BBDO Germany take electrification systematically to a new level. The campaign ad is backed by the song "The Four Horsemen" performed by the psychedelic rock band Aphrodite's Child. According to Till Diestel, Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Group Germany, "The new Kuga campaign also demonstrates how essential music is for a really good story storytelling." The Game will be featured in a total of 16 countries, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France and Spain. The campaign will be supplemented with several print and out of home assets and a variety of online ads and social media content on Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.
