UNO Pizzeria & Grill is launching a new brand campaign with a series of videos that each tap into small moments, simple pleasures, and let’s be honest, awkward encounters that we can all relate to as we slowly get back out into the world.

Over the last year, we’ve all figured out how to compensate for the loss of so many of the big things. We’ve had Zoom dinner parties, workouts & weddings; juggled homeschooling the kids with conference calls; donned masks to go grocery shopping; gotten takeout instead of sitting in the booth of our favorite restaurant; we’ve worn sweats for almost a year straight. But what we’ve lost are the little things, the nuance.

In the new campaign, created in partnership with creative partner Connelly Partners, UNOs leans into those small details with some much-needed humor as it tells the story of one couple as they re-emerge into the world for their first date night as restrictions are being lifted. Think… the joys of dropping off the kids with grandma and enjoying date night without the new baby (we love them, we swear); drinking a cocktail that you’d never make for yourself at home; etc.

The campaign strategy mirrors how UNOs has approached the last year too as its prioritized the small details for employees & customers. From a vaccine concierge service for employees, increasing the cook time on pizzas by 1 minute for extra crust crunch, to upgrading its ingredients as competitors looked for ways to cut costs, upgrading in-restaurant wifi and more.
