Smuggler's Tony Yacenda directs 'Nike v. Lil Nas X - Satan Shoes', a trailer teasing the artist’s new Kanye West-produced single 'Industry Baby'. The film pokes fun at the recent controversy around the singer’s limited edition sneaker line. Lil Nas X, who wears multiple disguises to play nearly every major role in the film, stands trial over his 'Satan Shoes' in a reference to his real-life legal battle with Nike. Yacenda’s paired down approach and cinematic courtroom scenes allow the script to do the heavy lifting comedically. Milking the absurdity of the Satan Shoes controversy, the teaser is a genius play on the rapper’s shoe brand beef and an expert promotion for Lil Nas X’s new single.
