This weekend Johannes Leonardo is launching a series of world peace anthems. They collaborated with directors from different countries, and asked each of them to film a choir from their country learning, understanding and finally singing the national anthem of another country. Johannes Leonardo instigated the idea then took a step back during the production process, to allow for an authentic representation of the countries involved. The initial series sees FRANCE sing USA, AUSTRALIA sing LEBANON, KENYA sing INDIA, USA sing MEXICO, ENGLAND sing ARGENTINA, and JAPAN sing TURKEY. People involved include Bra Boys Sunny Abberton and Shane Manning, conductor Bruno Droux from “Airs Libres”, conceptual artist Mariano Favetto, and well known Japanese costume designer Sachico Ito.
