Audiocastle recently composed original music for Acuvue Contact Lenses integrated campaign, ‘Be Free, Be You' for , Mint MENA, and Camouflage Productions. At the 11th hour, the client decided that the music initially created for the spots fell short of their vision, and contacted the music company to compose, arrange, and record two original songs with a musical aesthetic tailored to draw in its young adult target market.
Directed by Marcos Mijan, the campaign features high-energy visual stories colored with a pop-culture, stylized look. Audiocastle was tasked with crafting music that had the feel of songs released by a recording artist, and the vibe of tracks young adults might have on their playlist. Composers Adam Robl and Shawn Sutta collaborated with songwriter/vocalist Gabriela Ferrer on the track, melding instrumentals and lyrics with a contemporary commercial sound tailored to the hip demographic. Looking beyond the product, Ferrer focused on a bigger, universal message, with a contemporary, raw sound - and an inspirational takeaway. The broad points of the lyrics touched on the power of seeing, looking at the world around you – viewing each moment and having the freedom to live life to the fullest. Roble and Sutta blended instrumental on bass, electric guitar, drums, and synths with Ferrer’s impassioned vocals, recording the music at Audiocastle's studios. The next morning, they deliver original tracks that captured the sound of an artist-driven song, with the retrospective, personal feel the client envisioned. The package consists of two :60 broadcast commercials ‘Be Free, Be You - Acuvue Vita,’ targeting a young, hip demographic, and 'Be Free, Be You - Acuvue 1-Day Oasys,' with a message tailored to young professionals, as well as six :20 versions. The integrated campaign is currently broadcasting throughout Asia and globally on multiple online platforms.
