CarMax’s 'Call Your Shot' content series is back once again in its 3.0 iteration, partnering with NBA and WNBA superstars Sue Bird, Stephen Curry, Zach Levine and newcomer Candace Parker. The series of ads were produced by Valiant Pictures in partnership with sports agency Wasserman and creative agency of record The Martin Agency. The spots, directed by Valiant Pictures’ Danny Corey, playfully demonstrate how CarMax customers have confidence and feel empowered when buying or selling a car. “Call Your Shot” 3.0 comes off the heels of last year’s viral Pinch Me spot that highlighted Sue Bird’s accolades over Stephen Curry’s, putting the spotlight on the WNBA all-star athlete. Campaign launch spots include: “Instant Offers”: When Wardell Stephen Curry decides to sell his car to CarMax, he gets an Instant Online Offer good for seven days. Instead of using the week to shop around, he makes himself at home at CarMax, becoming the unofficial 'captain' of the in-store team. “30-Day Money-Back Returns”: When number one draft picks Sue Bird and Candace Parker can’t decide if they “like” or “LOVE” their new car, an associate suggests they take their time, because CarMax’s Love Your Car Guarantee comes with 30-Day returns, no matter if it’s their first pick or their seventh. At the mention of the seventh pick, Stephen Curry rolls up, and the two legends help explain how CarMax puts everyone on equal footing. And “Money Back Guarantee”: When Stephen Curry pitches himself as the face of CarMax’s newest offering—the SC30-Day Money Back Guarantee—it seems like a match made in basketball heaven until an associate politely points out that 30-Day returns already come with CarMax’s Love Your Car Guarantee.
