Chilly´s x Liberty: Flower power: Chilly’s partners with British retail icon Liberty to create a stunning floral collection of reusable products in time for the festive season

Reusable product pioneer Chilly’s has teamed up with British retail icon Liberty to design an exclusive range of eco-friendly bottles and cups for the festive season. All the Chilly’s Series 2 products, which feature beautiful floral motifs, are available to buy both in store and online. The range will be celebrated by a colourful campaign of bold hand-painted murals in London, digital animations and a recyclable store window display, right next to the Liberty florist.

Liberty Fabrics has been at the cutting-edge of design and decorative arts since 1875. Famed for its original curation, directional design and celebration of craftsmanship, Liberty prints have enticed and enchanted lovers of art, fashion and design from around the world. This collection, which uses the Liberty Summer Sprigs, Brighton Blossom and Jive patterns, marks the beginning of a new long term multi-collection partnership.

“For the first Liberty x Chilly’s collection we have adorned the Chilly’s bottles with a range of beautiful Liberty florals,” says Adam Herbert, Design Manager Bespoke Liberty Fabrics. “The designs feel intrinsically Liberty, and were created with the Chilly’s bottle shape in mind. The prints were engineered to compliment Chilly’s base colours and wrap the bottles beautifully.”

The campaign – the latest collaboration between Chilly’s and creative agency Soursop – comes just weeks after the launch of Chilly’s “Reusable way of living” campaign, the highlight of which was a film illustrating how easy it is for reusable everyday products to fit seamlessly into typical British life, from reusable mugs of hot milky tea to steaming baked bean-filled lunch pots. Liberty, as an iconic fixture of the capital’s landscape, is the perfect partner for a brand with its finger on the pulse of Britishness.

There was no debate for the Chilly’s and Soursop creative teams when it came to which artists to collaborate with to bring the reusables collection to life. AJ Smith’s delicate and unique paperwork fit perfectly with their desire to honour Liberty’s historical relationship with flowers and floral patterns. Street art and graffiti collective Blank Walls hand-painted murals in the heart of London’s east end honour the artisanal history of Liberty textiles and prints.

Phil Jacobson, Director of Creative and Marketing at Chilly’s concludes: “This collaboration is a step change for Chilly’s. It’s our most ambitious partnership to date, which sees us elevate our print design and craft standards to match the product design excellence of Series 2. The Liberty team and store’s heritage was instrumental in this process. We can’t wait for you to see what we have planned for 2022.”

Released in late November, the capsule collection has already generated a lot of love amongst both Chilly’s and Liberty fans as offering perfect gifts for the festive season. The “Chilly’s x Liberty” creative campaign is now live online, at the Liberty store on Great
Marlborough Street, and on art walls throughout Shoreditch. Tube posters at Piccadilly and Oxford Street stations go live from 14 December.
