Director Jara Moravec of the London based production studio KODE has worked with mobile phone brand, OnePlus Nord to create their newest brand campaign. The ad is the latest instalment in what looks to be a long-standing working relationship between KODE and OnePlus, following the success of past campaigns with associated brand Oppo which generated success across all of the brands markets in Asia and Europe. Vibrant colours, and a combination of realism and on-screen mobile phone graphics bring the campaign to life. Accompanied by sports commentator narration by Ian Danter, the protagonist’s daily routine is enlivened by his new smartphone capabilities. Throughout the day, the OnePlus Nord is used for reminders, gameplay, photography, social media and music, showing its dynamism and that it’s ‘A little more than you’d expect’. The youthful, playful and nostalgic feel of the campaign was achieved through the use of colourful, vintage-style clothing and aesthetics. It alludes to a time gone by but simultaneously looks ahead to the future with the release of the newest OnePlus Nord phone, which is breaking away from the mundane and is standing out from its crowded market, positioning itself as the product of choice for the younger generation.
