In a world that gets every day more connected and it’s getting easier to have access to the internet, no matter where you’re or your age, it’s easy to get trapped in situations that can directly affect your real life, for example, cyber bullying. Research revels that every 233 bullying posts online, one teenager attempts suicide and shows that Culture Shaming, Body Shaming, Slut-Shaming, and Grade Shaming are the four most common forms of cyberbullying. To raise awareness of the problem, the personal safety app, Kazoo, partnered with Stand for the Silent, a non-profit organisation that has been fighting all forms of bullying since 2010. Together, they decided to create a powerful anti-bullying message, the Social Bullets, an experiment created to warn parents about the dangers of the internet by recreating a typical student's experience of social media. Black Madre was invited to make the illustrations that reveal situations where you can feel how cyberbullying can affect the lives of these kids. In partnership with Area 23, the studio could translate some situations that show how a simple post online can interfere with a kid's life. The campaign not only has a good and powerful message, but was awarded for the technique and quality. Only this year, the project won 03 medals in The One Show 2022, 06 ones by The Clio Health and two pencil by D&DA. The Social Bullets website, the video, and the Cyberbullying Survival Guide can be used for anyone who cares about the safety of kids online, but specially for parents, other adults who are in the roles of safeguarding youth, and the youths, as a form to protect themselves and understand the danger of bullying other kids.
