For this reason, … read morethe True Self Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the comprehensive well-being and social mobility of LGBTQIA+ communities, launched a campaign to raise awareness about this topic that is so relevant today.

The campaign titled "Your time is the right time", seeks to make visible the issue of age and social expectations of when to come out of the closet. The organization seeks to challenge these expectations, since the right time to come out of the closet is a very personal one. It can be any time in one's life. This is because sexual orientations and gender identities are fluid and no one should feel pressured to come out until they’re ready.
Because of this, the campaign presents three bedrooms of three different people from the perspective of their respective closets. The decorations of the three quarters represent a young adolescent, a woman and an elderly man, but not everything that is seen is what it seems. The campaign presents elements that suggests these people belong to the LGBTQ+ community and are in the process of discovering themselves.
The campaign launched this October 11 and will be running for the rest of October to raise awareness of the reality of all people in the LGBTQ+ community and support them in their coming out processes.
