VW: Le Pompiste

Volkswagen Canada has unveiled their latest Quebec spot featuring the all-electric ID.4. The spot follows a string of announcements about Volkswagen’s commitment to building an electric future – including their launch of the ID.4 in Canada in 2021.

The spot features a rural gas station owner who hasn’t seen a customer in a while, and shows what happens when the first vehicle to appear in a long time is the all-electric ID.4, driven by Volkswagen’s Quebec-market spokesperson: Pier-Luc Funk. It’s a humorous story that plays off the lyrics of the song Le Pompiste (The Gas Station Attendant) by Jean-Jacques Cramier.
