Croix-Rouge de Belgique / Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen: Video Not AvailableTop 6: March 8th 2023
Within days, on February 24, the armed conflict in Ukraine will have been going on for a full year. To remind people how important it is to support the victims, Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen, Croix-Rouge de Belgique and BBDO launch a campaign in collaboration with international artists like Ed Sheeran, Editors, Tame Impala, George Ezra, Years & Years, Twenty One Pilots, Rudimental and Romeo Elvis. All these artists, whose music videos were shot in Ukraine before the conflict began, have agreed to remove images of Ukraine from their original videos. In doing so, they show the reality today: because of the conflict, many people, places and infrastructures are in danger of disappearing too. We see a new version of "Malade" by Roméo Elvis, "Paradise" by George Ezra, "Frankenstein" by Editors, "Never Let You Go" by Rudimental, "Nico And The Niners" by Twenty One Pilots, "Let It Happen" by Tame Impala, "Shine" by Years & Years and "2step" by Ed Sheeran. A version without scenery or actors, but with a black screen reminding us that the locations and people in the original music video are now "unavailable". The new versions of the clips are currently being shown on music channels as well as on the YouTube pages of Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen and Croix-Rouge de Belgique. They call on people to continue to the victims of this conflict, by making a donation to the account number BE53 0000 0000 0000 5353 , or discover the actions at rodekruis.be/oekraine or www.croix-rouge.be.
