One of the most significant aspects of a woman's life is menstruation. It can sometimes feel like a hindrance, causing physical discomfort or limiting a woman's abilities. However, with proper support and resources, women can manage their menstruation and continue to excel in their daily or professional lives.
On World Menstrual Hygiene Day, My Lady, a sanitary pads brand owned by Zarinseloloz, published a digital video campaign entitled "Your fans are standing by you" to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene. The video features Elnaz Kompani, a professional track and field athlete from Iran, who encourages women not to let menstruation stop them from being active. Although the campaign was designed to promote My Lady Sanitary Pads, it also had corporate social responsibility objectives. In many parts of Iran, menstruation is still considered a taboo subject, and women are often made to feel ashamed and embarrassed about their periods. This can lead to a lack of education about menstruation and a lack of access to proper menstrual hygiene products. "Your fans are standing by you" was an innovative campaign that broke down the taboo and started talking openly about the issue. Badkoobeh Creative Communication Solutions created and published the campaign in 2020.
