People know VW’s commercial vehicles work hard. To show they have the space and capability to play hard too, we chose a time when adventure and play was all South Africa wanted – Dezemba (or December to the rest of the world). Introducing #VWDezemba. An Advent(ure) Calendar that rewarded South Africa with daily experiences, that show there’s more to VW Commercial Vehicles than work. The Executions We brought the traditional advent calendar into the modern era by creating a series of short, looping 3D animated scenarios that utilised Instagram’s square format. To show these vehicles cater for all, we designed uniquely South African executions that spoke to everyone from beach goers and adrenalin junkies, to pet owners, wheelchair passengers and more. Results 100% Positive Brand Sentiment +1 Million Engagements 26,5 million reached 64% View Completion Rate / 52% above industry benchmark (12%) +63% Sales compared to same time last year
