Preen has partnered with Photobox to deliver a new campaign to build on their creative brand platform of “Let’s go make stories”.

The agency has been briefed to collaborate with the in house creative team to develop an overarching creative campaign, which inspires Photobox’s customers across key ‘moments’ to create something with their thousands of photos The key charge for Preen is to position Photobox as the brand of choice both at an emotional and functional level through inspiring people to relive and share life’s moments by creating their stories to be able to relive them with friends and family.

Preen has debuted its first phase of the work with two adverts focussing on turning all your family summer snaps into a photo book like no other.

Both ads have a similar structure, combining live action and photo montages, and tell two different stories: the first a family holiday and the second a mother-daughter trip. Directed by Dean G Moore, the ads begin by showing the start of an adventure with a fun snapshot that creates the cover of the photo book, Photobox’s hero product. The voiceover reads the caption ‘don’t just take it, make it’. It then moves on to a variety of shots from the two trips that sets up a photographic montage motif that will be used throughout the entire campaign before ending with the caption ‘Let’s go make stories.’

Susan Judge, Brand Director of Photobox said “From the very beginning, the team at Preen displayed a deep strategic understanding of our brand, our products and our family audiences, and presented a diversity of creative work that could work across territories and touchpoints.”

Neil van Ginsburg, Managing Director at Preen added “This is a true partnership. Working together, we’ll look to create campaigns across Europe that will drive brand consideration and showcase the amazing product range on offer.”

Preen will be working throughout the year with Photobox and future campaigns will be around Christmas and Mother’s Day that are already in pre-production.
