Four in 10 people have experienced microaggressions at work related to their identity. This figure rises to almost six in 10 for LBGTQ employees And 64% for individuals from Black Caribbean backgrounds. With a lack of awareness, many people and companies are unaware of the lasting impact comments can have.
Working with people from marginalized communities we collected their stories of microagressions in the workplace. Brought to life with 35 individual illustrations, each one completely different, representing the unique emotion behind each story.
Produced in a book and a set of posters, the Throwaway campaign was sent to companies, encouraging them to change the way they deal with microaggressions.
