On Wednesdays, we still wear pink. But on Wednesday November 8th, it's all about black - that is, Walmart's Black Friday deals. To promote the start of the retailer's upcoming holiday deals, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert have returned as Cady Heron, Karen Smith and Gretchen Wieners from the cult film 'Mean Girls' - all grown up and looking for a bargain. Also reprising their fan-favourite roles are Daniel Franzese (Damian) and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin Gnapoor). The campaign was created by a collective of Publicis Groupe agencies including Fallon, Publicis NY, the community, Contender, and Digitas. The campaign's hero film, titled 'Black Friday Deals - Jingle Bell Rockin'', catches up with the trio of mean girls - sans Rachel McAdams' Regina George - who now have kids, jobs and responsibilities of their own. Centred around the very same high school from the original movie, we see how the three have become out of touch with the modern trends and passed the mantle of creating new slang and fashions to the next generation. Various scenes call back to the film's most iconic moments, including the burn book, the 'Jingle Bell Rock' Christmas dance recital and the other cruel chaos that made the 2004 film so popular.
