LaLiga: Silent Nights
LALIGA VS is a project developed by LALIGA and the clubs that aims to inspire and raise awareness among fans through the values of football and build a hate-free society. This commitment is backed by more than 700 initiatives and projects carried out since the 2015/16 season to eradicate any manifestation of hatred and violence on and off the pitch. As part of the prevention and awareness actions of LALIGA VS, the “Silent Nights” Christmas Campaign has been launched with a call for fans who go to the stadiums each weekend to be aware that every gesture has consequences for the little ones. The campaign stems from the following reflection: why do we hurl insults in a football stadium that would be unthinkable anywhere else? Why do we witness attitudes of hate and racism in stadiums that would never happen outside them? With this campaign, LALIGA wants to raise awareness of what we cannot allow to happen in the stands and to remind us that of all those who form part of this sport are responsible for eradicating these attitudes. The campaign seeks to portray as accurately as possible the shattering reality of how some fans behave during matches. And how this influences the young children who accompany their parents to the field. Shot in black and white with a cinematic style and a classic soundtrack to ramp up the dramatic quality, the piece also features close-ups of the main characters that offer a treat for the eyes.
