Presidencia del Ecuador: Equal Coins

This is the first time in history that the faces of two Ecuadorian women are incorporated into the coin, commemorating their struggle and legacy:

#MatildeHidalgo was a feminist from Loja who obtain her doctor's degree in 1921. She is known as the first woman to vote in Latin America.

#TránsitoAmaguaña is remembered as an activist, precursor of indigenism in Ecuador and defender of injustice.
