To launch the new product we enlisted the best boot in Australia AFL great ‘Buddy Franklin’ to kick carbs both literally and figuratively. To steer attention toward Buddy Franklin ahead of the launch we leaked BTS footage of what appeared to be a cooking show starring Buddy onto social media. The leaked footage was picked up by all major media outlets and gave Hahn a captive audience to launch their first ever zero carb beer. The official campaign was kicked off with a video showing Buddy kicking a football shaped ‘carb pinata’ into oblivion.
