The problem of plastic waste is one of the most pressing environmental challenges today especially when they end up in our oceans. Toothpaste tubes are made out of plastic and these tubes often break down into microplastics which become toxic when ingested by marine animals. In response to this, Kintab launched the Killer Smile campaign in collaboration with Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines (MWWP). The campaign uses striking visuals of marine animals— a dolphin, whale, and polar bear—crafted from toothpaste to symbolize the fatal impact of plastic waste in our daily personal toiletries.
