In China, mobile phone addiction has become a serious issue. In 2023, people checked their phones an average of 116.3 times per day and spent about 7.2 hours on their devices. This obsession has silenced countless families, as members focus on their screens rather than each other.

On International Day of Families, Yeco Coco Chicken Restaurant presented the #AMealAgainstSilence live sculpture performance art. This visually impactful installation depicted the common phenomenon of family members engrossed in their phones during meals, leaving the dining table motionless, like a statue. The stark contrast between steaming dishes and frozen postures aimed to inspire people to put down their phones, engage in meaningful conversations, and ensure love is not silenced.
