This December 11th, on International Mountain Day, we raise our voice with a clear message: if the tapir disappears, ecosystems collapse; if the spectacled bear vanishes, forests and páramos cease to exist. To illustrate this pressing reality, we’ve turned the very geography of the mountains into a unique graphic that shows the dramatic decline in the populations of species that inhabit them.
