Revista Nómadas: Firefighter day

On April 5th, Bolivia pays tribute to its volunteer firefighters. These real-life heroes risk everything to battle wildfires, protect lives, rescue animals, and defend the country’s last green lungs.

Together with Nómadas, a digital magazine dedicated to impact journalism, we crafted a small and heartfelt tribute by hand to honor these remarkable individuals who don’t ask for medals or headlines. They ask for awareness. They ask us to care for what they fight to protect.

Volunteer firefighters are the heartbeat of a country that refuses to surrender to the flames.
As long as fires keep coming, forests keep crying out, and people and animals keep running, they will be there. With weary faces and enormous hearts, they remind us that hope, like the water they pour on the blaze, always finds a way through.
