Across two films, we follow Anna Maria and Fabrizio as they do something most people would consider completely harmless: Anna Maria takes a walk along the beach, while Fabrizio goes for a swim at his local pool. Yet for them, these moments once felt anything but ordinary.
As the films open, a title tells us that what we’re about to see used to terrify our main characters. Tension builds—what drama is about to unfold? But the words gradually fade until only used to remains. The drama never comes. Why? Because there is nothing left to fear. Thanks to the Peristeen Anal Plug, Anna Maria and Fabrizio have turned fear into freedom.
The films are simple, yet effective. The calm, peaceful scenes contrasted with the implied danger in the titles make the final message even stronger: what was once frightening no longer is.
