URUK: Your authors favorites to a podcast of you
Uruk is the virtual library of the Universidad Autónoma del Perú and operates entirely with artificial intelligence. It is not just a digital repository of books, but an active study tool that accompanies students throughout their learning process.
This system allows users to create summaries in a very short time, perform intelligent searches by author, topic, or concept, and transform texts into podcast-style audio, making it easier to study while doing other activities. In this way, access to knowledge becomes more flexible, personalized, and aligned with today’s student lifestyles. The implementation of Uruk represents an institutional milestone, because it does not simply experiment with artificial intelligence, but integrates it in a practical way into everyday academic life. While many universities are still considering how to incorporate these technologies, at the Universidad Autónoma del Perú they are already being used as real study support tools. Uruk changes the learning experience: students do not just read or listen to a text, they interact with the content in a much closer way, almost as if the author were present, guiding their understanding. This improves concentration, information retention, and the effective use of study time.
