The commercials from Mudra, Ahmedabad show various dolls placed in real life situations where each of them sports a different hair do. The Dolls represent different women in different situations, from a coffee shop, to at home, at the office, or at a traffic signal, and then finally at home in the bathroom. The last shot in the ad, of the doll in the field is to bring across freedom. The ad was shot with miniature sets in Malaysia.
In this film, we have chosen to use dolls instead of actual people because of obviously artistic reasons, as well as the fact that the focus on the hair is heightened. Without any actions or words from the characters the idea of the film, i.e. to let yourself or your hair in this case be free is brought across to the viewer. The imagery of the city, coffee shop, the office as well as scenes of the letter being read by the sad 'doll' or woman, are all countered by the last shot of the doll in the field, with her hair pleasently blowing the wind.
