CLM BBDO Launches "New Worlds" Campaign for Noe Conservation In line with International Biodiversity Year, Noé Conservation, an association for the protection of biodiversity, decided to speak up and raise public awareness of the need to defend the living world around us mankind's life assurance. We all live in the natural world, without always realizing it. Nature provides us with our food, more than half our medicine and many other essential goods and services for our daily lives. Destroying those potential resources today would mean losing out on future technological, medicinal, industrial and other solutions, jeopardizing mankind’s future.
Noé Conservation brought in the agency CLM BBDO to produce a print campaign entitled “Nouveaux Mondes” (new worlds), made up of 3 visuals that can’t fail to catch the reader’s eye. The campaign will start on March 8th in the daily METRO. For the campaign’s design, the agency and the association started out with a simple observation: if we don’t change our habits, Earth could simply become uninhabitable. Mankind would have to find another planet. But would the new world be as welcoming? The Agency developed its creative concept around that hypothesis, depicting people arriving on three particularly hostile planets, Actapa, Glutax and Kriboon. The hard-hitting visuals are underlined by a non-nonsense tagline, “When we have to go and live there, it’ll be too late to complain.” Is it a worst-case scenario? Or a visionary insight? CLM BBDO deliberately chose to look into the future in a Sci-Fi comic-strip style, an approach designed to awaken the audience to this environmental cause. The campaign, imagined by Lucie Valloton (AD) and Julien Perrard (CR), was illustrated by Frédéric Perrin. Noé Conservation’s mission is to defend biodiversity through conservation programmes for endangered species and their natural habitats and by fostering environment-friendly habits. The association was founded by Arnaud Greth in 2001. His career as a naturalist, a trained vet and a former Scientific Director of the WWF in France, naturally led him to make a daily commitment to this environmental cause. BBDO Paris, through its agencies CLM BBDO and Proximity, has long supported Noé Conservation in its communication projects. METRO took the opportunity of the latest message to join us and bring the project to life in the newspaper. CLM BBDO COMMUNICATION CONTACT Lauren Weber +33 (0)1 4123 4155 weberl@clm.bbdo.fr
