TBWA Vietnam create awareness to build upon established brand equity of action through an entertaining, high-energy tvc.
Mrs. Smith meets Mr. X : X-Men, leading men’s personal care (A brand of International Consumer Products Corporation) in Vietnam, launches a new thematic tvc. Continuing on their current brand theme ‘For real men’, TBWAVietnam created a parody based on the global box office hit Mr. & Mrs. Smith. To direct the tvc, TBWA partnered with international film star Dustin Nguyen. His movie credits include ‘Little Fish’ starring opposite Oscar award-winner Cate Blanchett, and is widely recognized for his roles on television hit series 21 Jump Street and V.I.P. with co-star Johnny Depp and Pamela Anderson respectively.

The tvc centers around Agent X, who is on a mission to save a world peace conference from terrorists. Upon subduing undercover assailants, Agent X comes face-to-face with the leader of the group – a beautiful villainess.

Action has been the main theme for the brand for the past 3 years. Which sits perfectly with its core target audience of 18 – 35 year old men.

‘The brief from the client was to inject even more high-action into their brand. Naturally, we felt inspired to use the genre of Hollywood action films.” said Patrick Tom, executive creative director at TBWA.

“Dustin is a veteran of the film industry and has wonderful action credentials to his name. He seemed to be a perfect fit to bring the idea to life.” said Tom.

The campaign launches this month country wide throughout Vietnam.
