The Canadian government created guidelines prohibiting fast, fun driving in commercials. TBWA Toronto used this opportunity to do something different to launch the Nissan Sentra SE-R. Online, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about rules and regs, so we created a viral film where we literally made a small, fast car to demonstrate the characteristics of its real sized brother. The “SE-R Project” housed on a Youtube channel allowed us to get down to business. We pushed a special tech package, price, and gave viewers the ability to configure their own SE-R, or set up a test drive.
