On the back of the International irritation over the disruptive sound of vuvuzelas, McCann Melbourne have created a topical radio commercial for RID insect repellent. En masse the annoying drone of the plastic horns has been compared to a hive of bees or a swarm of mosquitoes, so it was a natural fit for RID Australia’s most trusted insect repellent. In the commercial we hear a football commentator’s voice smothered by vuvuzelas. Relief from the sound comes in the form of strong spray of RID.
