Over 100 years ago, a chap named Bendix Hallenstein opened a supply store. He struggled until his brothers joined him in the venture. Their menswear business went from strength to strength to become New Zealand's number one male fashion chain. After the recent Christchurch earthquake Hallensteins gave away over $100,000 of clothes free, no strings attached, to the men of the region. The reason? Simple. Brothers have each other's back.
