Description
------------------------------------ The spot consists of a sequence of unexpected revelations. Set to tango music, the commercial opens underwater with air bubbles rising to the surface. Suddenly we glimpse what looks like a giraffe. We pull out to reveal more giraffes in bubbles - all looking suprised and trying to keep their balance as the bubbles float gently upwards. As the bubbles reach the surface we cut back to reveal that the bizarre minature world we've just seen is contained inside a drinking glass. A puzzled voice over asks, "Giraffe and tonic?" We pan over to a bottle of Gordon's Gin and delicious looking g+t. The voice over explains, "Gordon's. The G in G+T) Creative Commentary ------------------------------------ The commercial is mostly CG animation produced in house at Passion Pictures. There are some live action elements of bubbles, ice and lime. These elements were composited in the shots as background texture and used as reference for the lighting of the CG bubbles which contain the giraffe. The spot represents a new direction for Pete Candeland (known for his codirection of the gorillaz videos).
