Through voter-approved bond measures, Metro Natural Areas Program purchased 11,000 acres, 89 miles of waterways, protected 26 endangered species, planted 1+ million trees and opened 3 nature parks. Sockeye created a public awareness campaign to highlight these accomplishments.
The strategy was to get the word out and thank the voters for their support, especially the voters on the fence about protecting our nature. With the tagline, “It’s Our Nature,” every choice was made with the voter’s dollar, nature conservancy and protecting nature in mind. We printed plantable postcards, organic T-Shirts and even opted out of advertising on carbon-emitting busses.
