Two new, 30-second TV commercials from Cultivator, Denver extend Breckenridge Brewery of Colorado’s low-budget parody “Beervertising” campaign, introduced last year in a 15-second format. The new spots last longer and aim lower, targeting two mass beers from south of the border. Introduced in the first spot as the “the least interesting man in the world,” budding TV star Bob Harrington (day job: Breckenridge head brewer) stares straight ahead as endless bottles of his 471 IPA get capped. His only line: “I always drink beer. And when I do, I prefer good beer.” At spot’s end, the V.O. concludes, “Never stay thirsty, my friends.” In the second spot, Bob sits back to the camera, watching incoming waves on a warm and sunny beach... on TV. He grabs a Breckenridge Agave Wheat, flicks the channel to football, and settles in. Supered type (the spot has no spoken words) reads, “Find Your Couch.” The two commercials were produced on a combined budget of about $10K, and will run on Colorado news, sports and Sunday prime time programming.
