Unusually, the radio spots use few spoken words, instead they rely on sound effects to tell dramatic, first-person accounts of what it’s like to be a homeless kid in Vancouver.
One features a graphic sexual encounter between a ‘customer’ and a girl who’s been forced into prostitution, another is the story of a terrified girl running for her life, hiding from her pursuer. The final spot features a young guy struggling to survive winter on the streets.
The content makes for uncomfortable listening. But, as the voice over at the end of each spot states,“It’s hard to listen to, it’s even harder to live through.”
