SNAP Program: Ice Cream Cone

Through this program Firehouse wants to help raise awareness amongst lower income Dallas residents that some of the city’s freshest and most affordable produce can be found at the Dallas Farmers Market. And, let residents know that they can now use their Lone Star EBT card and SNAP food benefits to purchase these fresh fruits and vegetables directly from local farmers.

When it comes to the local Farmers, we want to let them know that there’s just one more reason to bring their fresh produce to the Dallas Farmers Market. Now that the Dallas Farmers Market accepts the Lone Star EBT card there’s even more people than before who can buy the produce they grow.
