The US Open real-time mural commemorates the story of the 2014 US Open.
The US Open commissioned artist Josh Cochran, who will complete the mural over the course of the tournament (8/25 – 9/7). Each day, Josh brings the tournament to life based on the most talked about topics and social mentions aggregated through #StoryoftheOPEN. On-site painting takes place every morning on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city a billboard above New York City's Midtown Tunnel.Agency DDB New York In addition to the live mural, DDB has developed a digital destination within USOpen.org that includes custom content for the mural, featuring user-generated content used to inspire Josh as well as daily video of the mural painting.
