New LumiGraphics From BBDO New York.

Pepsi recently leveraged a new technology called LumiGraphics to help bring to life their “More Happy” campaign on bus shelters around the country. This technology employs flexible panels that are thinner than a credit card, made of a paper-like material that lights up when a current is run through it! Using this technology (which has never been used in this country before), BBDO New York developed four distinct animated designs. The billboards showcase the new Pepsi cans, but we simply think of them as a way to make outdoor ads “more happy” – just like the Pepsi campaign. What’s more, BBDO New York added an additional layer to these bus shelters: they’ve made them Bluetooth enabled. Consumers can also download exclusive content from Pepsi to their cell phones (like a “rap” from Johnny Damon of the New York Yankees, as well as real people from the neighborhood). The Pepsi bus shelters appeared first in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, Denver and Philadelphia.
