The video caused outrage amongst locals and even a protest group formed to stop the hoax development, which consisted of a giant shamrock-shaped island in the middle of Dublin Bay. At the time, ridiculous man-made islands like The Palm and The World in Dubai were frequently in the news, adding to the believability of the hoax.
