Sydney-based Matterhorn has launched a new campaign for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse, urging you to help your friends.
Says Matterhorn's Garry Horner: "The horrible truth is that … read moreas many as 1 in 4 adult Australians suffer from the effects of childhood abuse or trauma, thatâs nearly 5 million people, which is quite staggering. There is a very good likelihood that one of your close friends is a survivor of childhood abuse and is probably suffering in silence, they need your help.
"Facebook was the perfect place to try and enlist the help of people to come to the aid of their friends. We designed and built the website, using Facebook Connect and HTML 5 animation and audio techniques to bring the experience alive. We are so grateful for all the help and advice we got from Facebook both here and in the States and are really proud of what we have achieved."
"As well as the website, we have also produced an online film and TVC as well as print and weâll also using other social media, like Buzzfeed to drive our message home," added Matterhorn's Matt Kemsley.
