Jolly had … read moregone missing and so had all Father Christmases reindeer. What had happened? Had Jolly gone on a joyride, did someone leave the stable gate open? The Great Elf Hunt was like a treasure hunt except whole families were set to work to find an elf. There was a buzz on social media networks and all you had to do was follow the clues. One by one, the location became clear as children found stickers and lunch boxes hidden in parks around Adelaide CBD. Each time they did they were told what they had found by scanning the code. They shared their discoveries on Facebook and moved on to the next clue. 500 individual characters were caught and almost 3000 people took part. 55 people went into the draw to win a behind the scenes tour of Stardust Castle the place where all the pageant floats live. And we’d extended the Christmas Pageant experience of Our Gift to you by creating a search for an elf. Every time they got close, we sent them a notification to tell them so. And after they’d completed the hunt we told them that Jolly was just Jolly unlucky, He’d left the gate open after all. And the children received a personal thank you from Father Christmas.
