Acid attacks on women are an unfortunate reality in India. There are no campaigns that spread awareness of the plight of the survivors after the heinous crime and the dire need of money most of them have. Cheil India planned a social media activity that could be pervasive, cheap and most importantly, fast. Targeted at netizens we asked them to give up their self indulgent act of selfies. To give up their faces on social media so that someone else could have one. A faceless selfie a picture of oneself but with the face covered by a paper showing a donation url donateaface.org with #donateaface. This way they not only directed others to the donation site but also became crusaders for the cause of acid attack survivors.
